Sara U. Duskin, CLE, IBCLC, RLC was born and raised in Northern Scotland and trained at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in London. Known for her “common sense” support and counsel, she works primarily with individual families, making house calls in San Francisco, Marin and the Peninsula, assisting new parents with their baby’s sleeping, nursing and feeding issues. An educator and clinician at DayOne Center since its founding, Sara also served on the staff of the California Pacific Medical Center as a Lactation Consultant and worked as a doula with the Fourth Trimester. She trained as a lactation educator through the UCLA program and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. In previous careers she organized pre-schools and child development programs locally and ran a national chain of high-fashion retail stores. Sara is a mother, stepmother, and grandmother, and she lives in San Francisco with her husband.
