Katie Louderback, NE  is a mother, yoga teacher and Nutrition Educator in San Francisco that specializes in supporting women and families through the transformational time of pregnancy and early parenting.

As a prenatal yoga teacher, my goal is to create a nurturing space for pregnant women to find community, feel good in their bodies, prepare for childbirth, and deepen their connection to their babies. Yoga reminds us that as pregnant women we are intuitive and incredibly strong. My yoga practice supported me during pregnancy, through the birth of my daughter and it continues to inspire me to be a more patient caring and conscious mother.  Over the years I have organized and been a contributor to many prenatal yoga teacher trainings and currently teach at the Mindful Body and the JCC.

When pregnant, nutrition takes on a whole new meaning.  Our babies are literally made from our bodies so it is essential that we fill ourselves with the most nutritious foods available. Eating well during pregnancy and after supports a mama’s body to heal, to breastfeed and provides the energy she so desperately needs.  But that is just the beginning.  Lifelong healthy eating habits begin early and they come from fostering a love of food in our children.

As a nutrition educator I teach workshops on many topics related to raising healthy families including: nutrition for pre-conception, pregnancy and the postpartum time and first foods for babies.  I often support families after the birth of their babies as a postpartum doula, and along with the traditional role of a doula, I focus on cooking healthy meals to speed recovery after childbirth and support breastfeeding. I received my Nutrition Educator certification at Bauman College where I continue my studies.
