Dr. Kara Werner, D.C. embraces all people wherever they are in their process while gently guiding them to trust the wisdom and innate potential of their bodies.
As the founder of Monarch Chiropractic and Integrative Health Center near Laurel Village she is dedicated to educating, inspiring and empowering individuals in their health. She serves each individual uniquely by weaving together a combination of light force and gentle structural adjustments, as well as muscle release therapy, yoga therapeutics and life style awareness practices.
Dr. Werner has completed extensive post-graduate studies in holistic perinatal and pediatric care and is an active member of the I.C.P.A. (International Chiropractic Pediatric Assoc.). She is one of the few Bay Area Chiropractors certified in Webster Technique, a special application to facilitate the turning of breech babies.
In 2002, Dr. Kara Werner graduated cum laude honors from the esteemed PCCW and initially began practicing as a sports chiropractor at one of San Francisco’s leading sports therapy centers. As a 6 year member of the Active Release Technique community, she has treated world class athletes and has an in depth understanding of the complex biomechanics of the human form.
With the recent home birth of her first daughter, she has been experientially transformed and inspired to cultivate awareness and community around the birthing process so that others may have the opportunity for an empowered birth wherever they chose to have this sacred experience.
